Professed priest of the Order of Friars Minor Conventual. Writer on Franciscan philosophy, theology and spirituality. Professor of ascetical and mystical theology in Rome, Italy. Assistant General of the Franciscans from 1945 to 1954. Parish priest in the area of Bordeaux, France from 1954 to 1965. Saint Maximilian Kolbe came to know him, and was so impressed by Father Clovis that he referred to him as a “supernatural man”.
