(also known as Lufthild) Died c.850. Saint Lufthild has an active cultus in the environs of Cologne, Germany, where she is said to have lived as an anchorite, but nothing is know with certainty about her life because there was no contemporary account. Legend says that she was persecuted by her stepmother for persistently giving their possessions to the poor (Attwater2, Benedictines, Coulson).
