Saints of the Day – Brandan, Abbot


(also known as Beandan, Breandan) 5th century. Saint Brandan was an Irishman who crossed into Britain, where he suffer greatly at the hands of the Pelagians. He took refuge in a monastery of Gaul, of which he eventually became abbot (Benedictines).
