Humanist. Upon the advice of Jansenius he entered the Society of Jesus in 1606, and became director of the colleges of Bois-le-Duc, Ghent, and Brussels successively. He wrote Latin poems and translated lives of the saints from Greek. Many conversions have been attributed to him.
