7th century religious virgin, born Brabant, Belgium. She was the daughter of Saint Amalberga, and sister of Saint Reinelda and Saint Emembert, Bishop of Cambrai. Patroness of Brussels. Relics in church of Saint-Michel, Brussels. Represented in art holding in her right hand a candle, and in her left a lamp, which a demon endeavors to extinguish. Feast, 8 January and 19 January.
