New Catholic Dictionary – Saint Gorgonius


Martyr, died Nicomedia, 304. He was a trusted servant in the household of the Emperor Diocletian. When the persecution began, Gorgonius remained firm in his faith, was tortured with his companions Dorotheus, Peter, and others, and strangled. Feast, 9 September.
