Merged with territory from the Diocese of Saint-Pol-de-Léon, France and Diocese of Tréguier, France on 29 November 1801; they had been suppressed in the anti-Catholic excesses of the French Revolution. Name changed to Quimper-Léon on 23 November 1853.
