(Saint) Bishop (June 7) (11th century) The Bishop of Worcester at the time of the Norman Conquest. His fame of sanctity was so great that, though an Anglo-Saxon, he was allowed to retain his See. He was distinguished for his singular charity towards penitent sinners and for his self-denying care of the poor. He died A.D. 1095.
