Vitalis (Saint) Martyr (April 28) (1st century) One of the first citizens of Milan to embrace Christianity, and father of the Martyrs Saints Gervase and Protase. Taken to Ravenna, he encouraged in his sufferings the Martyr Saint Ursicinus, and afterwards himself bravely bore torture and death, probably under Nero, about the same time as Saints Peter and Paul in Rome.
