(Saints) Martyrs (May 14) (2nd century) A Syrian Christian and his wife, put to death in Syria because of their religion about A.D. 176. Surius and others give long particulars of their martyrdom, but, as in other instances, modern criticism calls the authority of the old manuscripts into question.
