(Saint) Abbot (May 2) (7th century) The brother of Saint Fursey (January 16), whom he accompanied from Ireland to Suffolk. Thence he crossed over to the present Belgium and founded an Abbey near Liege, and finally settled in his brother’s monastery of Péronne in the North of France. Of this house he was elected Abbot, and died there (A.D. 686).
