Book of Saints – Simeon – 24 March
(Saint) Martyr (March 24) (15th century) A child at Trent in the North of Italy, described as having been murdered at Eastertide (A.D. 1475) by Jews, out of hatred of the Christian religion. There is much of evidence to support some at least of these accusations of crimes of superstitious zeal brought against the Jews throughout Europe during the later Middle Ages.
