(Saint) Widow (May 12) (7th century) A devout woman, four of whose children are venerated as Saints. On the death of her husband, she took the veil at the hands of Saint Amandus, and for several years presided over a monastery in Flanders. She, however, resigned her charge some time before her happy death in A.D. 688.
