(Saints) Martyrs (January 25) (7th century) Martyrs in Auvergne (France). Saint Projectus, a zealous Bishop, faithful to his duty, failed not, when needed, to admonish even the great ones of the earth, and thereby made powerful enemies. Some of these murdered him (A.D. 674), together with his friend and confidant, Marinus or Amarinus, the Abbot of a monastery in the Diocese of Saint Projectus.
