(Saint) Bishop (June 4) (4th century) An African Bishop of Milevis, and one of the Fathers of the Church. He was especially zealous in crushing the Donatist heresy; and the great Doctor Saint Augustine reckons him, with Saint Cyprian, Lactantius and others, as most excellent among Christian writers. His works, still extant, are often referred to by Theologians, A.D. 372 is given as the probable date of his death.
