Book of Saints – Micheas
(Micah) (Saint) Prophet. (January 15) (8th century B.C.) A contemporary of the Prophet Isaias. One of the Twelve Minor Prophets. His inspired Book contains the prophecy that Christ should be born in the town of Bethlehem. His prophecy is a short one. He inveighs both against Samaria and Jerusalem, but in magnificent imagery foretells the glory of the Church of the New Testament. His tomb, according to the historian Sozomen, was in the fourth century discovered in the neighbourhood of Jerusalem.
