Book of Saints – Martyrs of Tarsus


(Saints) (June 6) (3rd century) Twenty victims at Tarsus in Asia Minor of the persecution under Diocletian. A.D. 290 is given as the date of their martyrdom. They were famous in antiquity, and their relics seem (at least in part) to have been transported to Africa, where Saint Augustine makes mention of them. Authentic details concerning their lives and sufferings are now lacking.
