(Martory) (Saint) Martyr (January 23) (6th century) A monk or Solitary who lived in the Province of Valeria (Abruzzi) in the South of Italy, whom Saint Gregory the Great extols as a great servant of God, and of whom he relates the miracles wrought at his prayer.
