Book of Saints – Marianus Scotus


(Muredhae) (Blessed) Abbot (February 9) (11th century) An Irishman by birth who, after embracing the religious life at Dunkeld in Scotland, journeyed first to Rome, and finally founded (A.D. 1074) a monastery at Ratisbon in Germany. He was eminent for his great learning and has left many valuable writings.
