Book of Saints – Mancius

(Saint) Martyr (March 15) (Date uncertain) Of Roman origin, he appears to have been bought as a slave by Jewish traders and taken to Evora in Portugal, where he fell a victim to his masters’ hatred of Christianity. Churches were built and dedicated in his honour. He lived probably either in the fifth or in the sixth century.
