Book of Saints – Macarius, Justus and Theophilus


(February 28) (Saints) Martyrs (3rd century) According to the Roman Martyrology, they suffered in Rome during the Decian persecution (A.D. 250). Some other Martyrologies describe them as having been potters by trade, and allege their place of suffering to have been Alexandria. Their relics are venerated in the Jesuit Church at Bari. Bologna also claims to possess some part of them.
