Book of Saints – Leo of Sens


(Saint) Bishop (April 22) (6th century) The sixteenth or seventeenth Bishop of Sens in France who flourished in the first half of the sixth century and occupied that See for twenty-three years, defending its rights against the pretensions of King Childebert, and winning the love and veneration of his people. He was buried in the church of Saints Gervase and Protase, in the suburbs of Sens, since called after him Saint Leo.
