Book of Saints – Laurence of Novara and others

(April 30) (Saints) Martyrs (4th century) Saint Laurence was a native of Novara in Piedmont, of which city his disciple Saint Gaudentius became the first Bishop. He made many converts to Christianity, and in the end was put to death for the Faith, together (we are told) with a number of children whom he had just baptised.
