Book of Saints – Lambert of Saragossa

(Saint) Martyr (April 16) (4th century) A Spanish Martyr who suffered in the neighbourhood of Saragossa (A.D. 306). The official persecution under Diocletian had at that time practically ceased in the West. Hence, it is supposed that Saint Lambert perished in a riot of the Pagans, irritated at the tolerance of Christians that had set in.
