Book of Saints – Kentigerna


(Centigerna) (Saint) (January 7) Widow (8th century) Renowned for her great sanctity of life as well as for being the mother of Saint Foillan, Saint Kentigerna left Ireland after her husband’s death and led a life of penance and prayer on the Island of Inchebroida (Loch Lomond). She died A.D. 728.
