Book of Saints – Isberga


(Saint) Virgin (May 21) (9th century) The Patroness of Artois in Franco, said to have been a sister of the Emperor Charlemagne, and perhaps identical with Gisclla, also daughter of Pepin the Short. She was a nun at Aire in the North of France, and died there early in the ninth century.
