Book of Saints – Illidius

(Allyre) (Saint) Bishop (July 7) (4th century) The fourth Bishop of Clermont (France) who flourished in the fourth century, dying about A.D. 385. His relics are in the Abbey of Saint Allyre in Auvergne, though Saint Gregory of Tours, a devout client of Saint Illidius, seems to aver that in his time they had been at least in part translated to Tours.
