Book of Saints – Hywyn


(Saint) (January 6) (6th century) Probably a companion of Saint Cadvan in his return journey (A.D. 516) from Brittany to Cornwall and Wales. Saint Hywyn is said to have been the founder of Aberdaron (Carnarvon). Several churches in the West of England known as Saint Owen’s or Saint Ewen’s possibly have him for their Title-Saint.
