Book of Saints – Herveus


(Herve) (Saint) (June 1) (6th century) A Welsh Saint and Singer, blind from his childhood. His father, Hyvarnion, had taken refuge in Brittany. There Saint Herve grew up to become a teacher and minstrel. Idolised by the people, he lived to a great age, dying about A.D. 575. In art he is represented as blind, and led about by a wolf.
