Book of Saints – Germanus

(Saint) Bishop Martyr (May 2) (5th century) Described in his ancient Life as “Scotus.” It is not unlikely therefore that he was of Irish origin. His conversion to Christianity is attributed to Saint Germanus of Auxerre, who visited Britain in the fifth century, and whose name he took. Passing into Gaul, he did much Apostolic work, and in the end was put to death for the Faith in Normandy, about A.D. 460.
