Book of Saints – Geminian of Modena


(Saint) Bishop (January 31) (4th century) A Bishop of Modena, friend of Saint Ambrose of Milan and of Saint Severus of Ravenna, who took part in the Council of Milan, A.D. 390.

Another Saint Geminian, a Bishop (probably also of Modena), about sixty years later, worked with Saint Leo the Great to bring about the Council of Chalcedon, and is said to have saved his people from the fury of Attila the Hun.
