Book of Saints – Flavian – 22 December

(Saint) Martyr (December 22) (4th century) Alleged to have been an Ex-Prefect of Rome, branded as a slave on account of his being a Christian, by order of Julian the Apostate, and banished to an obscure village in Tuscany, where he died while engaged in prayer, A.D. 362. Saint Flavian is mentioned in some versions of the Acts of Saint Bibiana, on which, however, little reliance can be placed.
