Book of Saints – Fintan – 15 November


FINTAN (Saint) (November 15) (9th century) An Irish Saint and missionary in Switzerland and Germany, famous for his sublime prayer and spirit of penance. He passed the last years of his life as a Recluse in an island in the River Rhine, and is still in great local veneration. He is said to have passed away A.D. 827.
