Book of Saints – Fingar, Piala and Others


FINGAR (GWINNEAR), PIALA and OTHERS (Saints) Martyrs (December 14) (5th century) SS. Fingar and Piala, brother and sister, according to tradition, children of an Irish king, crossed over to Cornwall, but there were put to death at Hayle near Penzance by a Pagan chief in hatred of the Faith. Their companions and attendants shared their crown.
