Book of Saints – Felix of Gerona

(Saint) Martyr (August 1) (4th century) A Spanish Christian who suffered under Maximian Herculeus and the merciless Prefect Dacianus (A.D. 303) at Gerona in the North of Spain. He was, while still living, literally cut to pieces with butchers’ knives. The old Christian poet Prudentius has written some verses in his honour.
