Book of Saints – Felicula

FELICULA (Saint) Virgin Martyr (June 13) (1st century) A Roman Saint of the Apostolic Age and fellow-sufferer with Saint Petronilla, after whose martyrdom under Domitian she was left for a fortnight in her prison without food or drink. The charge against her was her refusal to marry a Pagan and to sacrifice to idols. Utterly wasted though she was, she was tortured on the rack and at last thrown into a ditch to die. Her body was recovered by the priest Saint Nicomedes, and by him secretly interred outside the walls of Rome (A.D. 90 about).
