Book of Saints – Fausta

FAUSTA (Saint) Widow. (December 19) (3rd century) Famous both for the nobility of her birth and for her piety, Saint Fausta, mother of Saint Anastasia, died in Rome towards the end of the third century. In the words of her daughter she was”a pattern of goodness and piety.” Baronius maintains the authenticity of the Letter of Saint Anastasia, in which these words occur, but doubts have since been raised as to its genuineness.
