Book of Saints – Erminus


ERMINUS (Saint) Bishop (April 25) (8th century) A priest of Laon in France, who at the invitation of Saint Ursmar, Abbot-Bishop of Lobbes (near Liege), fixed his abode in that monastery and followed so carefully the example of his holy Abbot that he was chosen by him to be his successor (A.D. 713). Saint Erminus was conspicuous for his gift of prophecy. He died at an advanced age A.D. 737.
