ELISEUS (ELISHA) (Saint) Prophet (June 14) (8th century B.C.) The holy man on whom fell the mantle of Elias, and who continued the work of that great Prophet, as is described in the Fourth Book of Kings. In the age of Saint Jerome, his grave in Samaria was shown as containing also the body of Saint Abdias the Prophet.
