Book of Saints – Edana

EDANA (ETAOIN) (Saint) Virgin (July 5) (Date uncertain.) An Irish Saint, Patron of Parishes in the West of Ireland. A famous holy well bears her name. She appears to have lived near the confluence of the rivers Boyle and Shannon. Some have thought her to be one and the same with Saint Modwenna, who is also commemorated on July 5.
