Book of Saints – Donatian, Praesidius, Mansuetus, Germanus, Fusculus and Laetus

DONATIAN, PRAESIDIUS, MANSUETUS, GERMANUS, FUSCULUS and LAETUS (Saints) Martyrs (September 6) (5th century) Some of the more conspicuous among the Catholics driven from Africa into exile by Hunneric, the Arian King of the Vandals (A.D. 484), of whom a particular account is given by Victor of Utica in his History of that Persecution. It is said that they numbered in all nearly five thousand in a single year. Laetus, a Bishop and a most zealous Prelate, was, however, burned to death at the stake; the others, part priests, part laymen, scourged and banished.
