Book of Saints – Domnus of Vienne

DOMNUS of VIENNE (Saint) Bishop (November 3) (6th century) Saint Ado, one of the successors of Saint Domnus, relates in his Chronicle that Saint Domnus succeeded Saint Desidexius the Martyr, in the Bishopric of Vienne in France; and that he was a prelate of surpassingly holy life, distinguished by his charity to the poor, and zealous in the redeeming of the captives taken in the incessant wars of the period. He died A.D. 527. We know nothing more about him. His Feast is not kept in the Liturgy, not even locally.
