Book of Saints – Domnio – 16 July


DOMNIO (Saint) Martyr (July 16) (3rd century) Saint Domnio, a zealous Christian, was beheaded at Bergamo in Lombardy under Maximian Herculeus, the colleague of Diocletian, towards the end of the third century. Thus, the local historians; but it must be “confessed that no ancient Martyrology so much as mentions his name. Of his niece, Saint Eusebia, Virgin-Martyr, the Feast is similarly kept at Bergamo (October 29).
