Book of Saints – Domitian of Chalons

DOMITIAN of CHALONS (Saint) Bishop (August 9) (Date uncertain) The third Bishop of Chalons-sur-Marne in France, remarkable for his zeal and success in the conversion of the heathen. He entered into his rest towards the close of the fourth century and was buried in the same grave as his predecessors, Saint Memmius (Menge) and Saint Donatian, of the latter of whom he was a disciple in Rome. But Baronius and the old traditions antedate all three Saints by two centuries and probably with good reason.
