Book of Saints – Die


DIE (DEODATUS) (Saint) Bishop (June 19) (7th century) A Bishop of Nevers (France), who resigned his See to embrace the life of a hermit. He is the founder of the Abbey of Jointures, around which sprang up a town, the seat of a Bishopric called that of Saint Die. The Saint died A.D. 679.
