DIARMIS (DIERMIT, DERMOT) (Saint) (January 18) Abbot (6th century) Remarkable from his earliest years for sanctity, Diarmaid became spiritual director and teacher to Saint Kiernan of Clonmacnois, and later founded a monastery on Innis-Clotran Island.
