Book of Saints – Devota


DEVOTA (Saint) Virgin Martyr (January 27) (4th century) A Christian maiden in Corsica who expired on the rack during the persecution under the Emperor Diocletian (A.D. 303). Her remains were brought by a priest who knew her to Monaco on the Riviera, of which town she is venerated as the Patron Saint.
