Book of Saints – Deusdedit – 10 August


DEUSDEDIT (Saint) (August 10) (6th century) A poor shoemaker in Rome, contemporary of Saint Gregory the Great (in the latter half of the sixth century), of whom the holy Pope relates that he worked hard all the week at his trade and on each Saturday gave to the poor all his earnings beyond what was necessary for bare sustenance for himself.
