CYPRIAN (Saint) Abbot (December 9) (6th century) A monk of Perigueux (France) who ended a holy life as a hermit on the banks of the Dordogne (A.D. 586). Saint Gregory of Tours speaks of the many miracles wrought by him both in life and after death.
