Book of Saints – Colman – 23 January


COLMAN (Saint) Bishop (January 23) (8th century) A monk in the celebrated monastery of Lismore, in the government of which he succeeded Saint Hierlug (Zailug), A.D. 698. Under Saint Colman’s rule a vast number of disciples flocked to Lismore, and he became the spiritual father of numerous holy men and illustrious prelates. He died A.D. 702.
